The Wood Man's House is the home of the Wood Man, located in the wilderness near Hilda's old house.
It appears in both the graphic novels, where it is first seen in "Hildafolk", and the animated series, where it is first seen in "Chapter 2: The Midnight Giant" when Hilda follows the Wood Man there to learn more about the giant Jorgen.
Appearance[]
The house greatly differs in appearance between the various installments.
In the graphic novels, the first time the house is seen, it stands in a clearing between the trees. The house is in this version entirely made of wood, with at least two floors. There is a huge, circular window on one side.
When the house is seen again in the "Hilda and the Midnight Giant", it looks notably different. Now, it is build around, and partly inside, a hollow tree. This second version of the house was also used for the animated adaptation. In the Tie-In novel "Hilda and the Hidden People", the house is described as being made of pine and walnut wood, and build around an oak tree.
The house is quite spacious on the inside, and features among other things a fireplace, a record player, a piano, and a large collection of books.
