Trevor's mom (real name unknown) is Trevor's mother, who first appears in the animated series episode, "Chapter 5: The Troll Rock".
She makes no physical appearance in any of the graphic novels or Hilda Tie-In Series, though Trevor briefly mentions her in "Hilda and the Bird Parade".
Personality[]
Trevor's mother is a very unpleasant and unfriendly woman. She has been described as a very cheeky woman and cares only for her son and her own image. In "Chapter 10: The Yule Lads", Frida even called her the Queen of Naughtiness. She has it out for Hilda in particular, whom she considers a "witch in sheep's clothing", and who she holds responsible for the fact that Trevor became afraid of birds following the events of "Chapter 3: The Bird Parade".
Biography[]
In "Chapter 5: The Troll Rock", she attends the parents' night at The Ahlberg School, and witnesses the chaos caused by the baby troll that David unintentionally brought with him.
At one point, she demands an explanation from Johanna about what Hilda did to her son, since he is suddenly terrified of birds. This, combined with Trevor's attitude towards Hilda, suggests he told her a very one-sided version of the events from "Chapter 3: The Bird Parade". Johanna never gives Trevor's mom an answer though and the matter is dropped afterward.
In "Chapter 8: The Tide Mice", Trevor's mom can be seen while at the Sparrow Spout lodge, while during their musical performance that is suddenly interrupted by a reveal of tide mice.
In "Chapter 10: The Yule Lads", she is shown to have her own stand on the Trolberg Winter Festival market. It turns out she is still not over her suspicions regarding Hilda. She reminds Trevor to stay away from Hilda. Later, as Trevor and friends attack the Sparrow Scout's broth stand, Frida tells the Yule Lads that Trevor got his bad attitude from his mother. Kert in particular is surprised to hear that adults can be naughty too and is delighted by this revelation. That night, the Yule Lads attack Trevor's house and abduct both Trevor and his mom to be sacrificed to Gryla. She is not seen again for the remainder of the episode but was presumably released after Hilda convinces the Lads to give Gryla the Sparrow Scout's broth as a substitute for human broth.
Trivia[]
- In "Hilda and the Bird Parade", when Trevor hears that Johanna didn't want to let Hilda go out and explore Trolberg, he admits that if his mother forbids him something, he just tells her to shut up.
- In "Chapter 10: The Yule Lads" she is shown sleeping alone, thus proving she is a single parent.
- In Season 1, her hair is the same shade of brown as Trevor's; this was colored to black for Season 2.
