Torgund's clan is one of the two groups of vikings seen in the season 2 episode "Chapter 4: The Eternal Warriors" and the tie-in novel "Hilda and the White Woff".

They are led by Torgund and wield magical weapons that glow with blue light when used.

Members[]

Torgund himself included, the clan consists of six members; four men and two women. Two of the men are named Olaf and Bjarnsen. The last remaining man is named Elof. The two women go unnamed in the episode, but their names are revealed on the official character sheet: Uli and Solveig.

David also joined the clan as a messenger boy after he heard that the Medallion of Sigurd would make all of his fears disappear. After he got under the influence of the medallion, he stayed as a temporarily member untill the effects were gone after Sigurd's and Hilda's revision. Because of that he couldn't remember what happend.

History[]

Several hundred years ago, Torgund and his clan came to the Forest of Nott to find the Medallion of Sigurd, which would forever take away their fears. They believed this would make them better warriors. Their rivals, the Knudsen clan, also came to the forest for this reason. One of the clans managed to steal the medaillion from Sigurd, but fell in battle with their rivals because their new fearlessness also made them reckless. Sigurd, angered by the theft, used a potion to restore the fallen clan back to life, and wipe their memories of the battle. Since that day, the two clans got trapped in an endless battle over the medaillon. Each night, the clan that had the Medallion would be slain in battle due tot heir recklessness, after which Sigurd revived them and the battle started over, with neither clan realizing they were trapped in a repeating loop, or how much time truly passed.

In "Chapter 4: The Eternal Warriors", David ended up with the clan after he fell off a cliff and Torgun found him. He joined them as their messenger boy that night, and after a victory over the Knudsen Clan, he too got to use the Medallion. The following day, he, Frida and Hilda saw how Sigurd restored the fallen Knudsen clan. David warned Torgund's clan, and another battle followed, but since the Torgund's had used the Medallion, they lost this time around. When David was also killed, Hilda and Frida convinced Sigurd that it was better to stop reviving the clans. Sigurd used his potion one last time to revive the clan, but this time admitted the truth and gave them the potion. Torgund and his men took the news suprprisingly well, considering it a good joke. When last seen, they were testing out the potion by repeatedly killing and reviving each other.

Trivia[]

  • In addition of a clever censorship approach by the showrunners considering expected violence in fighting scenes between both Viking Clans, enchanted weapons wielded by both Torgund's clan and Knudsen's clan don't just glow at the wielder's will, but also instantly cauterize wounds inflicted by it with magic energy of same color from weapons in question regardless of its severity.
