Stekkjarsaur is one of the Yule Lads. He is first seen in "Chapter 10: The Yule Lads". The character does not appear in the graphic novels.
Appearance[]
Stekkjarsaur is dressed in a blue costume. He has no facial hair. His voice is rather deep. He has two peg legs.
Biography[]
Stekkjarsaur was once a human boy. He is also known as "the sheep-harasser", though his harassment of sheep consisted of him once whispering "I Hate You" in the ear of his grandmothers tallest sheep. When confronted about this fact, he will claim that the sheep started it somehow.
His deed made him naughty enough to be targeted by Gryla. He was brought to her by Kertasnikir, but made the same bargain as him to work for Gryla and find her more naughty children in return for being spared. Now, every year around the Trolberg Winter Festival, he and his fellow Yule Lads come to Trolberg to find and abduct naughty children.
When first seen "Chapter 10: The Yule Lads", he and his fellow Yule Lads have just arrived in Trolberg, and are found by Hilda, David, and Frida. As they interrogate the three kids to find out if they where naughty, Stekkjarsaur ask them if they too where guilty of harassing sheep. He is mostly a background character for the rest of the episode. When Hilda finds out what they are doing, she suggests the Lads to give Gryla the Sparrow Scouts' vegetable broth as a substitute. Gryla accepts the broth, and after she is gone, Stekkjarsaur and the other lads leave Trolberg.
Trivia[]

- According to "Hilda and the Time Worm", his name means Sheep Botherer, which matches his crime of harassing his grandmothers sheep.
