Ryan Carlson is a Canadian composer. He composed music for all seasons of the Hilda TV-series, and the movie. For the latter he was nominated for an Annie Award in the category "Outstanding Achievement for Music in an Animated Television/Media Production".
Ryan grew up in rural Alberta exploring nature in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. As a teenager he began writing and recording his own music with a 4-track tape recorder. This independent approach has informed his authentic and hands-on style of composing. He has also worked on shows as Abby Hatcher and Curse of the Frozen Gold.
