This red wolf is the primary antagonist of the Season 2 episode "Chapter 9: The Deerfox"

He looks like a regular wolf, but with red fur.
Behaviour[]
As a carnivorous animal, the wolf is naturally very dangerous, wanting to kill and eat anyone that trespasses into his territory. He is also quite relentless when chasing his prey.
Role in the series[]
The wolf is prominently featured in "Chapter 9: The Deerfox". After Twig has run away from Hilda and tries to catch a rabbit in the woods, he runs into the wolf. The wolf chases him to the ruins of Hilda's house, where Twig is able to hide from him. The following day, the wolf tracks Twig down again near a chasm, but this time Twig gets away by quickly crossing a river at the bottom, which the wolf doesn't dare to do.
When Hilda and Johanna also arrive at the chasm and try to cross it, the wolf attacks Hilda. He comes close to grabbing her, but Twig attacks him. The wolf then turns it's attention on Twig again. Hilda quickly climbs into a tree next to a cliff and orders Twig to jump into her arms. The wolf is unable to stop in time and falls off the cliff. It is unclear if whether he survived the drop, as he is not seen again after this.
