In "Hilda and the Bird Parade", Hilda and The Great Raven spot this petrified troll when they're on top of a bell tower. The troll evidently got petrified while moving away from the city.
Petrified troll mother and child[]
In "Chapter 11: The House in the Woods", these 2 petrified trolls are briefly seen during the scene where an elf mail carrier brings Hilda's letter to Trolberg.
Right near the end of "Chapter 13: The Black Hound", several trolls came be spotted while in their petrified stone form on a hillside just beyond from where the old cabin had been originally.
Troll in the ground[]
Seen in the epilogue of "Hildafolk", where it's revealed that the rock the Wood Man intended to sit on permanently was actually a Troll, buried up to his neck in the ground. When the troll awoke, Wood Man left immediately.
Cucumber Sandwich Troll[]
In "Chapter 1: The Troll Circle, the bell keeper's flashback showed that after he dropped his cucumber sandwich, a troll came out of nowhere and snatched it up.
Pig Grabber Troll[]
In "Chapter 1: The Troll Circle", this troll was among others petrified from exposure to direct sunlight and upon nightfall, converted back to normal. While at the farmer's house, he caught notice of a pig and was about to steal it for himself but the farmer wouldn't allow it, and rang a bell which made the troll drop his pig in annoyance, leaving with the other trolls.
Cave Troll[]
After running off in "Chapter 9: The Deerfox", Twig tries to find shelter near a cave only to notice a troll glowering at him.
In "Chapter 9: The Deerfox", after leaving Trolberg and on the next morning, Twig awoke only to notice a few trolls nearby; one particularly who came pretty close to finding him under his hiding place but luckily, the sun came up just in time thus had turned them all to stone.
Troll on the Road[]
In "Chapter 9: The Deerfox", after when both Johanna and Hilda leave Trolberg to search for Twig, they almost crash into a petrified troll whose right in the middle of the road, as Johanna comments on how "boulder" they're getting.
Showering Trolls[]
In 'Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", Hilda, Twig and Johanna come across numerous trolls; two of which are seen showering themselves with running water.
Scary troll[]
In The movie, when Hilda is trying to flee from Trylla, she bumps into this troll, who does not take kind to her mistake and looks ready to attack her. Before he can do so, the ground beneath Hilda gives way and she falls down a cliff.
The same troll also appeared in "Hilda and the Mountain King". In this story, Hilda does not fall off a cliff, and the troll only angrily stares at her before deciding to let her go.
Trolls eating[]
In "Hilda and the Mountain King", these trolls are shown at a bonfire with Hilda and Trylla eating like animals; one in particularly tries wolfed down a woff. A similar scene happened in The Movie.
Bonfire Trolls[]
In "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", Trylla and Baba come outside with a bunch of stuff, where they both sit by a bonfire with a few other trolls who Trylla gave food to for each of them. Shortly after, they're camp is attacked by the Two-Headed Troll and several more trolls among him, as they all fought while Trylla managed to escape with Baba.
The next day, these trolls are seen again where in some way, they save Hilda and Johanna from the Two-Headed Troll, where all three of them soon tackled him to the ground.
Peeking troll[]
On the front book cover for "Hilda and the Stone Forest ", a troll can be shown peeking behind a pillar while watching Hilda, Johanna, and Twig unnoticed. This troll makes no actual appearance in the graphic novel though.
Trolls in a fight[]
In "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", these two were by the water when they both bumped into each other and started fighting with one another until the bigger troll won.
Trolls hopped on by Hilda[]
In "Hilda and the Mountain King", while Hilda was running away from Trylla after she had turned her into a troll and trying to find a way out of the mountain, she quickly hopped across on several trolls.
Invader Trolls[]
In "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", Deputy Gerda is busy putting the emergency blimp together with Frida, David, and Erik Ahlberg. When suddenly, they're ambushed by several unwelcome trolls. Erik unwisely angers the trolls further with his bell, so Frida tries to help him with an invisibility spell. Instead, she ends up accidentally turning Ahlberg into a bug, which frightens the trolls and they run away.
Hairy troll[]
In "Hilda and the Stone Forest", this troll tried to fight off the Two-Headed Troll when the latter and his allies disrupted a bonfire to steal the loot from the trolls sitting around the fire. He put up a good fight but ultimately was defeated.
Pipe taking troll[]
In The movie, as Hilda and Trylla head back up the mountain, she noticed a little troll (presumedly a child) takes a metal pipe that another troll unknowbly dropped thus claimed it as her own, Trylla believed she was taking to be added to her treasures.
Trolls attacked with Torch Gun[]
In "Hilda and the Mountain King", when Erik Ahlberg escorted Johanna to the entrance of the Stone Forest, he used his torch gun to scare away these two trolls. He didn't hit either of them, and they escaped unscratched but startled.
A similar scene happens in The movie. Here, it is just 1 troll and Erik does end up hitting it with the gun, instantly petrifying the troll in spite of it still being nighttime. Although Ahlberg said he'd be alright within an hour or so, it is unknown if whether this troll ever did recover from the torch gun's effect as he's never seen again afterward.
In "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", these two trolls are shown among the many other trolls that Hilda, Twig, and Johanna stumbled upon while their lost inside the mountain.
In "Hilda and the Stone Forest", this mob of trolls including the two-headed troll are first shown attacking a bonfire where they get into a fright against several other trolls while the two-headed troll soon grabbed Trylla's supplies and flees back into the mountain.
Two of them later join the two-headed troll in his pursue on Hilda, Johanna, and Twig. However, they soon took shelter in a cave inhabited by rock-chewing slugs which the trolls are afraid of thus they merely waited for at least one of them to eventually come out as all three trolls were seated by the cave. After Hilda and Johanna make a break for it, the trolls attempted to follow when they to notice an even bigger slug bursting out of the tunnel which caused a cave-in that buried the troll duo plus the two-headed troll along with them. Either of them are not seen again after this.
Although absent from the animated series. However, in "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest" which adapts "Hilda and the Stone Forest", several other trolls are shown with the Two-Headed Troll when he attacks Trylla's camp just for that one scene.

Following nightfall in "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", a silhouette of this troll shown from below the stars briefly appeared and had begun to move.
Indoor camping trolls[]
At the beginning of The Movie and after being turned into a troll herself, Hilda ran passed these four trolls camping near a bonfire inside the mountain, they seem to ignore her.
Troll mead explaining trolls[]
While Hilda, now a troll herself, and Trylla were seated by a bonfire in "Hilda and the Mountain King", Hilda is curious what the drink Trylla offered her is, and these two trolls tell her its troll mead. A similar scene happens in the movie, but the trolls look notably different there.
When Johanna showed up, the two trolls along with the others plus Trylla returned back into the mountain after when realizing they were going to be attacked by rival trolls.
Trolls attacking Johanna[]
In both the graphic novel and movie versions of Hilda and the Mountain King, Johanna and Twig are attacked by these angry trolls after Johanna tries to follow Trylla into the Stone Forest but she closes the entrance. Johanna narrowly escapes the trolls, and it is this encounter that makes her realize she will need help from the Safety Patrol.
In the movie version, one of these trolls ends up eating Cedric, but after the Trolls are allowed into the city and begin to sprout flowers thanks to being close to Amma, Cedric emerges alive and well from one of these flowers.
Running water trolls[]
In "Hilda and the Stone Forest", when Hilda, Twig and Johanna are lost inside the mountain, hear the sound of running water and go to investigate where they witness an entire horde of trolls. A similar scene happened in "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest"
Dead petrified troll[]
In the Movie, after Hilda found Trundle's eye and leaves the underground chamber, she comes across the remains of a dead petrified troll.
Loot stealing trolls[]
In "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", after Hilda and Johanna escape from the Two-Headed Troll's lair, they inadvertenly cause the trolls loot to fall out of the lair and into the water. These trolls immediately seize the opportunity to steal the loot for themselves, much to the anger of the two-headed troll.
Curious Troll[]
In "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", after Hilda, Twig and Johanna barely escaped from the Two-Headed Troll thus they land in the trolls' lake where one troll caught notice but he merely assumed it was nothing and walked away.
Mountain dwelling trolls[]
All these trolls have minor background cameos throughout both the graphic novel and movie version of Hilda and the Mountain King, where as Hilda and Trylla explore along outside and/or within the mountain. One in particular featured in the movie, appeared to be pulling what looked like a troll's head (possibly his own) around in a wagon.
Trolls who aren't Hilda[]
In both the graphic novel and movie version of Hilda and the Mountain King while during her desperate search for Hilda, Johanna inspects practically every petrified troll she could find within the area, where she placed Hilda's beret and scarf on them to see if whether this troll could be Hilda.
Only in the movie, Johanna forgot Hilda's hat and thus left it on a troll. When racing towards Trolberg to stop Trundle and while riding on Trylla, several trolls come rushing by her including the one wearing Hilda's hat which she takes.
Tiny trolls[]
In both both the graphic novel and movie versions of "Hilda and the Mountain King", after Hilda comes into contact with Trundle's eye, she envisionS Trolberg, but it was inhabited by these little trolls that attacked her.
Boulder throwing troll[]
In The movie, this troll is seen throwing boulders at the wall of Trolberg. The first one hits the wall and shatters on impact. The second boulder goes over the wall and crushes a house.
Troll helped by Frida[]
In The Movie, after Frida sneaks out of the city to find Hilda, she runs into this troll who has a bell attached to his nose. Frida helps him remove the bell, and after doing so attempts to read the troll's mind using her magic in hopes to learn more about Hilda's whereabouts. Before she can do so however, Trundle and his army show up, scaring away the troll and forcing Frida to run back to Trolberg.
Troll interrogated by Frida[]
This troll is among the many trolls in Trundle's army. When Frida is chased by him after she left the city to try and find Hilda, she stops just outside the city gates and uses her magic to mentally connect to the troll in hopes of learning more about Hilda's whereabouts. Instead she ends up seeing a vision of Trundle's plan to wake up Amma. The troll does not take kind to Frida interrogating him like this, and when the connection is severed he angrily attacks her. Frida only escapes thanks to David ringing a bell in one of the bell towers, thus slowing the troll down.
Trundle's army[]
In both the movie and the graphic novel, Trundle, after escaping his prison, rallies a large group of trolls to attack Trolberg.
Unpetrifying trolls[]
In the last minutes of "Chapter 8: The Fairy Isle", these trolls are seen waking up as the sun sets and the Great Raven approaches Trolberg.
The game Hilda Creatures has 7 kinds of Trolls the player can find. Besides the regular troll, which looks like Trylla or the Male Troll from the series, it also has six unique varieties:
Obelisk Troll
A troll with a conical shaped body.

A troll with crystals on his head.

A black troll with a body covered in veins that appear to contain lava.
