Jonas is a minor character from "Chapter 2: The Fairy Mound".
He is a grumpy, elderly man who lives in Tofoten. He harbors a deep hatred towards Fairies. Where most people in Tofoten only put a single horseshoe on their door to keep Fairies away, Jonas put no less than 29 horseshoes on his house. This attracts the attention of Hilda when she first arrives in Tofoten. When Hilda becomes interested in Fairies, she pays him a visit to ask if he can tell her more. The moment Hilda mentions fairies however, Jonas flies into a fit of rage, begins to rant how Hilda is bringing bad luck to his front door, and orders her to leave. He backs down when Astrid interferes.
