Hilda, Frida, and David overlooking the forest

The Forest of Nott is a forest located outside Trolberg.

According to a map of Trolberg and surrounding areas seen in "Hilda and the Bird Parade", the forest is located to the south-east of Trolberg, close to the Björgfjord. The animated series doesn't reveal where exactly the forest is, but it is far enough from Trolberg that the Sparrow Scouts had to take a bus when they go camping there. A map seen in Hilda's Book of Beasts and Spirits depicts the forest to the west of Trolberg.

The forest contains a swamp with a set of rocks known as the Screaming Stones. According to Frida, these stones are the reason that Trolls don't come to the forest.

Sigurd lives in this forest. The rivaling viking clans Knudsen clan and Torgund's clan have likewise been living in these woods for centuries, unnoticed by the outside world.
