Fjällmarr is an ancient giant and a minor character that appears in "Hilda and the Midnight Giant" and the animated series.
Appearance[]
Fjällmarr is very different ain appearance from the other giants. He has an elongated neck with a brown mane leading across and has darker fur thus in a way, he bears a resemblance towards a dragon.
Graphic Novels[]
He is one of the ancient giants who lived within the valleys before humans came. According to legends, Fjällmarr is father horses and dragons. He's also considered to be more wild plus less forgiving than most giants, as Fjällmarr hated people and they feared him greatly.
He only appears on two pages at the end of the book that list all the ancient giants. He plays no direct role in any of the stories.
Other media[]
- While Fjällmarr himself makes no appearance in the animated series. However, in "Chapter 2: The Midnight Giant", a picture of his head can seen in Wood Man's book the Giants of Old.
- Fjällmarr did not even appear in "Chapter 3: The Giantslayer".
- In "Hilda and the Faratok Tree", after the Faratok tree sends her 3000 years into the past, Hilda meets the ancient giants. She attends their Grand Council meeting where 18 giants gather. It is left unclear if Fjällmarr is one of them as he is not depicted on any of the images nor called by name in the text.
