The Elf King (real name unknown) is the ruler of all the Elves.
He appears in the graphic novels, the animated series and the Hilda Tie-In Series. In all incarnations, his role in the story is the same.
Appearance[]
He is a chubby elf with red skin and white beard. He wears a red cape, white pants, a yellow coat with white fleece in the interior and a crown. He wields a golden staff topped with a ball, also golden and a red diamond.
Personality[]
He considers humans to be his sworn enemies, and therefor allowed his prime minister to drive Hilda and Johanna out of their house.
Biography[]
With help from Alfur, Hilda visited the King, whose palace was build on top of a mountain. The king however panicked upon seeing Hilda and retreated into his palace, refusing to talk to her. When the mountain was eventually revealed to be a giant and Hilda woke her up, the palace was nearly destroyed, but Hilda saved it and the king just in time. This made the king change his mind, and he allowed Hilda and Johanna to stay in their house. Sadly, the house was destroyed not much later by Jorgen.

Trivia[]
- In "Hilda and the Hidden People", all Elves old enough to write their name have to sign a secrecy form in which they promise to never speak to a non-elf about the location of the King's castle. Alfur gets around this problem by simply showing Hilda the location on a map instead of telling her. The graphic novels and animated series make no mention of this rule.
