Wood Man enjoys his new boat.
But he is in for a nasty surprise
Something sinks his boat.
The following day, on the beach, Frida is practicing a spell to mentally connect to other creatures.
Then David notices something going on.
Several boats have been attacked and sunk. The sailors suspect the Lindworm to be the culprit. They demand action.
Erik Ahlberg promises to lead an attack on Cauldron Island to stop the Lindworm.
Hilda knows the Lindworm is innocent, but nobody listens.
She even suspects that Erik himself is behind the sunken ships.
Then she finds Wood Man’s head floating in the harbor. He informs her there really is a monster, but it’s not the Lindworm.
The 3 friends plan to save the Lindworm, and Wood Man’s body.
Hilda quickly makes up an excuse not to go on a picnic with her mom that day.
Alfur knows something is up, and fears Hilda’s lying will get her in trouble someday.
Like last time, the kids hitch a ride on a water spirit.
Hilda tasks David and Alfur with finding the Lindworm to get her to safety.
While Frida, Hilda and Woodman will try to find out what is truly attacking the ships. Wood Man, who speaks Water Spirit, asks the spirit for help.
The Lindworm finds David and Alfur first.
She has no intention to leave; her code states she will never back down from a battle.
Alfur has a plan. He sends a message by Elf Courier to the Lost Clan.
Underwater, the girls discover Ahlberg modified the sunken bell to ring automatically.
The Lost Clan arrives on the island
David explains they want the Lost Clan to have a mock-battle with Lindworm.
That way, she can have her fight and then leave before Ahlberg and his men arrive.
Unfortunately, the Lost Clan also never back away from a fight, and they attack for real.
And Ahlberg is ready to set sail.
Underwater, the girls discover a ship graveyard.
They encounter a Draug, who is cursed to clean up the wrecks for all eternity.
He doesn’t know what sunk Wood Man’s ship, but he knows there is something out here whose sound frightens even him.
When the girls follow the sound, they find a young Kraken. Wood Man however claims he’s not the one that sunk his ship.
Frida tries her magic to bond with the creature, and thus learns they need to get back to Cauldron Island to find the real culprit.
David and Alfur are on the island.
On the island, the battle between the Lindworm and Lost Clan is still ongoing.
And to make matters worse, Ahlberg arrives with his fleet.
They fire their harpoons. Luckily, their aim is way off.
The last harpoon imbeds itself deep in the ground, and something awakens.
Cauldron Island is…A kraken!
Wood Man claims the Kraken should be asleep for another 175 years. Hilda realizes the underwater bell woke it up.
The Kraken makes short work of the fleet. She wrecks the metal ships.
And feeds the wooden ships to her children.
Hilda realizes the Kraken just wants to feed her children, and tries to tell her about the ship graveyard they saw earlier.
David tries to rally the Lindworm and the Lost Clan to attack the Kraken, but they realize this is a fight they can’t win.
They retreat from the island instead.
Encouraged by Hilda, Frida bonds with the Kraken and tells it about the sunken ships.
She also locates Wood Man’s body.
The Kraken easily intercepts the harpoon
Then retreats with her children.
One of the young Kraken returns Wood Man’s body.
Hilda returns home, again later than she should.
Johanna knows Hilda lied about where she was that day.
Hilda is grounded for her lies.
