Hilda’s radio begins to pick up strange frequencies.
Sometime later, Frida is awakened by her Nisse.
He drags her into Nowhere Space, because something terrible has happened.
The nisse has been robbed. His timer is gone.
The thief is another nisse. And he’s not alone; all over Trolberg nisse are suddenly stealing from each other.
Frida thinks it would be great to organize a townhall meeting for the Nisse, so they can talk things over and stop this stealing.
First they head to Hilda’s house. Johanna is glad to see them as Hilda hasn’t been outside in days.
Hilda’s room is a mess. She has been working non-stop on something.
She and Alfur are convinced the strange radio signals are a coded message that may be from her dad.
She has no time to help David and Frida. She fears her father may be in trouble.
David and Frida are skeptical about her theory.
Alfur admits he was skeptical too, but has since realized Hilda may be onto something.
Then Tontu takes the radio for himself.
And as Hilda tries to take it back, they all get dragged into Nowhere Space.
The signals are even better there, meaning they might be coming from Nowhere Space.
Then Hilda sees for herself how bad the nisse’s problem is, as another nisse steals the radio.
They chase the thief through Nowhere Space, ending up in various places across Trolberg.
Going through the library.
And Gerda Gustav’s house.
They fail to catch the thief. Thus, Hilda agrees a townhall meeting might be a good idea.
David’s idea to get the Nisse to actually come to this meeting? Free Food!
The kids go around town to inform the Nisse about their meeting.
Hilda hopes the Nisse may also know about her father, but none of them has seen him.
Scout Hall is chosen as the location.
They’re all set, but at first it seems no nisse is going to show up.
But then they arrive one by one.
Twig calls everyone to order.
However, things don’t go smoothly.
The nisse all want to speak simultaneously.
And only to call each other out on their stealing.
They even get into fights.
Frida introduces the talking stick to indicate which Nisse may speak.
Then Hilda spots the nisse that stole her radio and tries to take it back.
This sparks a huge fight..
The meeting is officially a failure
At least Twig saves the radio.
The friends have no other choice but to leave.
Raven Leader catches the fighting nisse.
And gets dragged into the fight herself.
The group returns to Hilda’s room.
When Hilda tries her radio again, she picks up a broadcast from Victoria van Gale.
She is the one who had been sending the signals. David can’t believe Victoria is back somehow.
David and Frida leave, with Frida clearly being disappointed with Hilda.
Hilda doesn’t care about the radio anymore. If Victoria was the one sending the signals, then clearly this was a wrong lead.
She has to accept the fact that her dad likely walked out on her again, like Johanna already theorized.
Frida longingly looks at a photo of her, Hilda and David. This incident may very well cause them to drift apart.
She does give her nisse a new timer.
The following morning. Hilda gives Tontu the radio. She doesn’t need it anymore.
This is a new experience for Tontu. Nisse don’t share.
This gives Hilda an idea, and she hurries to Frida’s house.
They open a lending library in the nowhere space of Scout Hall.
Here Nisse can borrow stuff and no longer have to steal from each other.
With that problem solved, the kids decide to have some fun at Hilda’s house.
Tontu has discovered a new radio show, about a man looking for his daughter.
Turns out Hilda was onto something after all; her dad is with Victoria van Gale and trying to reach her.
And he may be in trouble; Victoria warns her listeners about ‘hooded figures’.
Then Alfur returns. He has been traveling around to search for the source of the radio signals with help of elf radios.
Thanks to his research, they can pinpoint the location:
Tofoten.
Hilda realizes her dad is in the Fairy Mound; last time she saw the hooded figures there.
She has to go back there. Frida and David come along as backup.
Tontu will help them get to the trainstation.
Sometime later, Johanna comes to bring Hilda and friends lunch.
And when she finds the kids are gone, she demands Tontu and Alfur tell her where they are.
