The kitchen in Hilda’s house is tidier than ever.
Because Tontu helps her use Nowhere Space as an additional storage
However, he refuses to let Hilda into Nowhere Space to get to Frida’s house faster.
On their way to their bird-watching expedition, Hilda vents her frustration about Tontu.
But when they reach the woods, they are in for an unpleasant surprise.
The forest is being demolished for new houses.
Frida spots a Scarlet-Capped Warbler.
As they follow the bird, they come across a strange, stone circle.
Something startles David.
The bird leads them to an old windmill.
And to their surprise, Victoria van Gale is there!
She claims to have turned over a new leaf since what happened at the weather station.
She now lives in the windmill, off the grid, with animals for companion.
Frida is impressed by Victoria’s book collection.
Victoria picked up baking as a new hobby.
David doesn’t trust her and goes outside to spot more birds. Instead, he sees something enter the doors to the cellar.
He gets Hilda to investigate the basement. First they find nothing suspicious.
But then David discovers a hidden room.
It seems Victoria has been creating something here. A doll on the shelf moves as David and Hilda walk by.
It is a living creature.
Victoria restrains the creature before it gets David.
An angered David yells at Victoria.
It is her own personal Nisse; she build him herself to help her with her chores.
She needs him; the place is falling apart.
The girls offer to help Victoria; it would get them a lot of new badges.
So they get to work, but David and the Nisse don’t get along.
Victoria wants to know everything about Nowhere Space.
That night, Hilda tells Tontu about Victoria’s nisse, not knowing that the nisse is spying on her.
Victoria won’t let the kids fix this crack in the wall. They have done enough.
David is finally willing to try Victoria’s cookies.
When David offers to get more cookies from the kitchen, he discovers a hidden compartment with some documents.
And smuggles them outside in under his sweater.
Victoria offers the kids each a gift for their help; a book for Frida, animals for Hilda, and multipurpose grease for David.
Her Nisse suspects something is up.
David wants to tell and show the girls what he has found
Frida realizes she forgot to pick her book, and goes back.
David want Frida not to go back and wait what he has to say
Then as he wants to tell Hilda, thunder begins to sound
Then Hilda also leaves without listening to David
And Hilda has to go home for dinner.
Nobody has time to listen to him, so David is left behind alone in the rain..
David has to examine the documents himself, but the nisse followed him home.
Victoria is building some sort of machine.
Suddenly, David hears a noise
and he spots the Nisse breaking in his room.
The nisse attacks David.
And escapes with the documents, except for one.
He has to warn Hilda, but his parents won’t let him go out of the house tonight.
And climbing out the window is no option.
So David attempts to contact the Nisse in his house. It is willing to help him in return for the grease.
David reaches Hilda’s house.
Much to Hilda's confusion.
David thanks his Nisse for the help.
From the one page David saved, Tontu deduces that Victoria used old magic to summon a Nisse.
Hilda realizes Victoria wants something with Nowhere Space, hence why she needs a Nisse.
Time is running out, so for just this once Tontu lets Hilda and David use Nowhere Space.
Victoria is about to start her plan.
When Frida turns out to still be in the mill, Victoria has her tied up.
Victoria reveals her machine, and has her Nisse power it up.
She wants a way for humans to colonize Nowhere Space, thus eliminating the need for constantly expanding Trolberg.
Help arrives
Tontu fears that if the breach stays open, it will suck the whole city into nothingness.
Hilda and Tontu confront Victoria in Nowhere Space
While David tries to free Frida, but he gets attacked by the Nisse.
In the fight, the machine is damaged.
And goes haywire
A second breach opens within Nowhere Space. Hilda urges Victoria go leave.
David tears off the face of the Nisse.
Then Frida, who managed to get free, kicks him into the breach.
The breach closes. Tontu pulls Hilda out while Victoria stays behind.
While Victoria is swallowed by the second breach.
Hilda and Tontu make it out and the city is saved.
Hilda is disappointed that Victoria hasn’t changed. At least her windmill will make a nice home to these animals now.
Victoria has ended up in an unknown location.
