Another day over. Hilda and Alfur retire for the night.
We get to see Alfur’s house from the inside.
He even has his own Nitten.
When Alfur wakes up the next day, he finds out both he and his stuff have been moved out of his house overnight.
While Hilda finds a strange elf in her bedroom.
His name is Alvin, and he has been send to replace Alfur as the Trolberg Correspondent.
A special delegation will arrive that day to bring Alfur back to the Northern Counties. Alvin has already confiscated Alfur’s house.
Reason is that Alfur’s reports, while very popular, are believed to be nothing but made-up tall tales, like the time with a
baby troll.
...Or how he was dealing with magical
rodents.
And the paperwork regarding Alfur’s case has been placed on hold, meaning that Alfur can’t fight the decision.
Hilda won’t stand for this. She comes up with a plan to trick the delegation into leaving Trolberg without Alfur.
They ask the Lost Clan for help, but Agnes ends up being chosen to take Alfur’s place.
The Delegation arrives by boat.
Alvin is suspicious when he sees “Alfur”, while Adeline is thrilled to meet her hero.
Unfortunately, Agnes quickly loses her temper when the Delegation brings up the paperwork needed to take “Alfur”.
To prevent the situation from escalating, Alfur reveals himself.
But when ordered to surrender his passport, it becomes too much for him and he makes a run for it.
Chased by the Delegation (who in turn are chased by the Lost Clan), Alfur flees to the Farmers Market.
Since the humans there can’t see the elves, chaos ensues.
Alfur does what he can to avoid capture.
While the humans think the market is haunted by spirits.
Alfur flees into a scale model light house.
When cornered by Alvin, Alfur jumps to Hilda.
And when Alvin follows, Hilda catches him too.
The Delegation and the Lost Clan are still in the light house when suddenly the structure begins to shake.
It’s Gerda Gustav; she has come to deal with these “spirits”.
She plans to take the light house to Safety Patrol HQ to question the spirits.
Hilda, Alfur and Alvin follow her to HQ.
The light house has been placed in a glass container, trapping the Elves inside.
Gerda attempts to interrogate the Spirits.
Just as Gerda is about to fill the box with water to make the Spirits talk, Alfur calls out to her.
Alfur claims he is from the Spirit Safety Patrol, and he has come to apprehend these rogue spirits.
He asks Gerda to sign the paperwork for the transfer.
And along with Hilda, they leave the base.
They return to the harbor. Despite everything, Alfur still has to come with the Delegation.
Or not; Alvin has decided not to replace Alfur.
He has filled out an eyewitness confirmation form to proof Alfur’s reports are correct.
It seems Alfur likes Adeline.
Alfur settles in his house again.
