— Name disclaimer — |
The real name of this character is currently unknown. |
This unnamed Troll is a troll who appears in both the animated series and the novelization. However, he does not appear in the graphic novels.
Appearances[]
The troll mostly looks like a standard troll with a boulder-like body and a long nose. There are some slight differences compared to most other trolls however; this particular individual is more bulkier with light brown-colored skin with shade of grey upon his arms. While alike all trolls, he has white blank eyes.
Personality[]
Like all trolls, this one is quite aggressive towards others, especially with his own kind. What appears unique about him is he seems fond of collecting certain items that he can wear on his body such as a camera or plastic bag. If shown kindness however, he will reveal himself to be not so bad after all.
Biography[]
Animated series[]
In "Chapter 1: The Troll Circle", this troll is among others who've been petrified by sunlight while standing in a circle. He is first seen in this petrified state when Hilda leads both Erik Ahlberg and Deputy Gerda Gustav to their exact location. However, as nightfall comes and the trolls return to life, Ahlberg loses the camera which the Deputy tried to retrieve, only for this troll to grab it first. The troll, evidently not knowing what the camera was for, puts it on his arm as a bracelet.
He appears briefly in "Chapter 6: The Old Bells of Trolberg", while near a bonfire with another troll. They are seen reacting to the sound from the bell tower, which agitates them both.
In "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest", as Frida, David and Deputy Gerda camp near a fire while searching for Hilda plus her mother, Johanna, the troll suddenly shows up out of nowhere. Fortunately, he supposedly means them no harm. When David offers the troll his bag of Jorts, the troll joins the three humans at the campfire. After finishing the whole bag, he puts it on his head like a hat. The next morning, as Frida and David wake up, they witness the troll turn to stone upon daylight. This made David wonder to himself if turning to stone hurts trolls like him.
The troll is not seen again afterwards.
Novelization[]
The events from "Chapter 13: The Stone Forest" are adapted into the book "Hilda and the White Woff", in which the troll plays the part where he joins Deputy Gerda, David and Frida by the campfire. The next morning, Frida is leaning against him as she sleeps, and when she and the others wake up, the troll has already turned to stone.
